Vladimir Putin's Third Presidential Inauguration Speech and Oath (2012)
Vladimir Putin’s Third Presidential Inauguration took place on May 7, 2012, in the Grand Kremlin Palace’s St. Andrew Hall. The ceremony began with the solemn presentation of the State Flag of Russia, the Presidential Standard, the Constitution of the Russian Federation, and the Presidential Emblem. After taking the oath of allegiance to the people of Russia, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Valery Zorkin, officially announced Vladimir Putin’s assumption of office as President of the Russian Federation.
Around three thousand guests attended the inauguration, including members of the Government, the Federation Council, and the State Duma, as well as judges, diplomats, clergy, cultural figures, and representatives from Putin’s election campaign. In his address, President Putin emphasized national unity, strengthening democracy, and preserving Russia’s cultural and moral traditions while expressing faith in the country’s great history and bright future.
