Genesis 2:25—Naked and Unashamed: Humanity Before the Fall, Analyzing Scripture

On today's program of Analyzing Scripture, we go Diggin' Deeper into Genesis 2:25. This verse may seem simple, but it's deeply profound. It closes Genesis chapter 2 — the account of creation — and sets the stage for the fall in Genesis 3. The verse captures the original human condition in a world untouched by sin. We learn that human relationships, particularly marriage, is God-ordained, not man-made and that before sin, humans could be completely exposed — physically and spiritually — without insecurity or shame but God offers us an invitation to eternal life and that comes in the form of the cross.
