Mom Said Goodnight”

Timmy was almost asleep when his mom peeked in and whispered,
“Goodnight, sweetheart.”

He smiled and drifted off—
until he heard the front door open downstairs.

His dad’s voice called out:
“Timmy, don’t open the door.
Your mom’s still at the hospital.”
