Dumboines Iowa wants to be a big city, well they got the corruption part down

Des Moines, Iowa has always wanted to be like every big city in the Midwest. The only problem is no matter how hard they try the population just never gets to the level of a major metropolitan area.
So they decided to emulate Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee the only way they knew how. They became thoroughly corrupt. I mean why would you want to be Mayberry when you can set your sites on San Francisco; the glory hole of planet earth!
