Dad's Vegetable Soup!!!

Nothing beats a long night of Trick or Treating with the kids on a crisp Fall night, coming home, and having a piping hit pot of vegetable soup on the stove. This is the recipe that was passed down in my family and today I will be teaching each and everyone of you how to make it. The best part of it to me is that it freezes like a dream so you can pop it in the crock pot Halloween night and it will be ready by the time you get home! ^.^d

Dad's Vegetable Soup Recipe:
5-6 baby carrots / 1 regular carrot
1 medium potato
1/2 yellow onion
1/2 lbs cabbage
2 baby bella mushrooms (optional)
1 ear of sweet corn/ 1/3 cup sweet corn (optional)
2 tbsp bacon fat
1 can diced tomatoes/ 1 cup tomato juice
2 cups chicken/ mushroom stock or 2 cups water + 1 Tbsp chicken bouillon

Dad's Dad's Vegetable Soup Recipe:

1 ear of sweet corn/ 1/3 cup sweet corn (optional)
1/3 cup green beans (optional)
1/2 - 1 cup bacon fat
