JP Smith Slams SAPS for Failing to Share Crucial Crime Intelligence

Cape Town Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, has criticised the South African Police Service (SAPS) for withholding vital crime intelligence from the City’s enforcement agencies. Smith says the lack of information sharing undermines coordinated anti-crime operations and hampers efforts to curb gang violence and organised crime. He called for greater transparency and collaboration between SAPS and municipal units to restore public safety.
