🇵🇪A state of emergency is being prepared to be declared in Peru amid yet another «Zoomer Revolution»

Youth protests began in the country back in September, but erupted with renewed vigor on October 15. Initially, people protested against pension reform, but later the slogans broadened to include discontent with corruption and crime. A man was killed during the clashes, shot by a police officer. More than 100 people were also injured.

A week ago, Peru replaced its president, José Jeri. However, protesters are already demanding his resignation. Congress impeached the previous president, Dina Boluarte, amid accusations of personal enrichment and the brutal suppression of protests.
