John Bolton formally indicted by a U.S. grand jury

Former National Security Advisor to Donald Trump, John Bolton, has been formally indicted by a federal grand jury. According to sources from the Department of Justice, the lead prosecutor in the case—who also took part in the investigation into President Biden’s classified documents—presented the charges to the jury today.

The investigation focuses on Bolton’s alleged use of a personal AOL email account to write and share notes about his work at the White House, some of which were sent to family members.
