Lena got a call from her boyfriend late at night.
He sounded scared.
“Don’t open the door,” he whispered. “Someone’s in your house.”

Her heart pounded—because she was already on a video call with him.
He was smiling on the screen.
And he said, “Why wouldn’t I want you to open the door?”
