1 - Attack is simply using the ego's judgment-centric fear-base tools and mindset.
2 - "In your defenselessness your safety lies."
3 - Don't make the ego's tools real by focusing your time on it.
4 - We are working mostly with the mind, thoughts, attack thoughts.
5 - Learn to offer loving thoughts to unloving
6 - You are cruel to yourself when you hold unto your judgments of other people negative actions throughout forgiveness.
7 - You were created to think like God thinks.
8 - Being all One, what you offer another you experience yourself. When you hurt another you punish yourself.
9 - You escape that attack/fear by acknowledging its illusionary nature and forgive/overlook.
10 - Your defense sets up an enemy within because defense makes the action real.
11 - If God is All then the ego and its thinking has to be nothing, not real or true.
12 - Thoughts do not leave their source. What you think of your brother you reinforce and become.
13 - It is not natural to judge, it is only natural to love/forgive.
14 - If you can't fall asleep ask the Holy Spirit what unforgiving thoughts you are holding within, the forgive.
15 - Offer all your anger and unforgiveness to God and see and feel departing you and it dissolving in His loving light.
16 - Cruelty is also a drug, the more you use it the more natural and normal the deception becomes.
17 - The ego tries to give fear the attributes of love.
18 - Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.
19 - Do not defend yourself against other's fantasies of you, others believing that you are something other than love.
20 - Your time/focus and energy that you put into something makes that something seem real.
21 - Learn to see the dream/the ego's tools and mindset as unreal.
22 - You can undo what you have done. Let go of your programming. All the ego's tools are forms of idolatry.
23 - By worshiping the ego's tools you are denying God. And then you wonder why you feel guilty.
24 - If you see the ego/nothing as your protector you will never feel safe and secure.
25 - The ego's responses will never deliver peace to your mind or joy to your heart.
26 - Place your faith in God, not in idols to experience true peace.
27 - If you use the ego's idols you become enslaved in the ego's world and mindset.
28 - Heaven on Earth is always just a choice away.
29 - Ask yourself: How much of our life have we sacrifice to the ego's idols and made a hell of living on Earth?
30 - Ask: What would God think, say and do, then think, say and do only that.
31 - You can not fight hate with hate, only love disperses hate.
32 - God does not forgive because He has never judged. Be as God is.
33 - Being all One, as you forgive another you heal yourself.
34 - Learn to echo God's thoughts.
35 - No longer support thoughts that don't support you. Thoughts that do not bring you lasting peace and joy.
36 - Make the attributes of God your guides, in doing so light the way for others.
37 - Learn to take personal responsibility for the thoughts you think and thus for the life you create and experience.
38 - Every moment is a gift from God to you. When you recognize this you become a gift to this world.

Lesson 170. There is no cruelty in God and none in me.

1. No one attacks without intent to hurt. ²This can have no exception. ³When you think that you attack in self-defense, you mean that to be cruel is protection; you are safe because of cruelty. ⁴You mean that you believe to hurt another brings you freedom. ⁵And you mean that to attack is to exchange the state in which you are for something better, safer, more secure from dangerous invasion and from fear.

2. How thoroughly insane is the idea that to defend from fear is to attack...

3. It seems to be the enemy without that you attack...

4. If you consider carefully the means by which your fancied self-defense proceeds on its imagined way, you will perceive the premises on which the idea stands...

5. Next, are the attributes of love bestowed upon its “enemy.”...

6. With love as enemy, must cruelty become a god...

7. Today we look upon this cruel god dispassionately...

8. This moment can be terrible...

9. Yet do not think that fear is the escape from fear...

10. Where does the totally insane belief in gods of vengeance come from?...

11. The choice you make today is certain...

12. Now do your eyes belong to Christ, and He looks through them...

13. Father, we are like You...
