🇨🇴 Clashes at US Embassy in Bogotá amid indigenous protests

Protesters armed with bows and incendiary devices attacked the US Embassy in Colombia, the mayor of Bogotá said. Four police officers who tried to stop them were injured.

The unrest broke out on day five of nationwide demonstrations by indigenous groups. A rally at the embassy was planned as peaceful but spiraled into clashes with security forces.

Crowds also targeted the National University and other administrative buildings in central Bogotá.
