Carried Out Precision Strikes On Militant Camps

Pakistan’s information Minister Atta Tarar, in a strong statement on X, confirmed that Pakistan had carried out precision strikes on militant camps of the so-called “fitna al-khawarij” and elements of the Gul Bahadur group operating from Afghan territory, following multiple terrorist attacks launched during a 48-hour ceasefire. He said the operations were based on verified intelligence and resulted in the elimination of a large number of militants, including senior leaders responsible for recent attacks in North and South Waziristan, where a vehicle-borne IED blast had earlier killed civilians and a Pakistani soldier. Tarar asserted that Pakistan would not allow terrorists operating from Afghanistan to find safe havens, rejecting as false all claims of civilian targeting and emphasizing that such propaganda only served the interests of terrorist networks. He reiterated that while Pakistan believes dialogue is the best way forward, it fully reserves the right to defend its territorial integrity and protect its people from cross-border terrorism, calling on Afghan authorities to rein in non-state actors using Afghan soil against Pakistan.
