Forbidden Planet - (Sci fi /Adventure) - 1956

"A star ship crew in the 23rd century goes to investigate, why there has been no contact with a distant planet's human colony.Arriving on the planet they find just two survivors, and a robot, the crew also discover the deadly fate of the planet's former civilisation".

This movie is considered one of the great science fiction films of the 1950s. A precursor of contemporary science fiction cinema. The characters and isolated setting, have been compared to those in William Shakespeare's The Tempest.
