The Temptation of Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11 is examined. Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, is led into the wilderness by God to be tested. The devil tempts Jesus with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, but Jesus resists each temptation by quoting scripture, demonstrating the importance of relying on God’s word for victory.
