Today we’re demonstrating one of my favorite Reformer Pilates moves — the Mermaid. 🧜♀️
Although it’s common in group classes, many people don’t feel its full benefit. In this session, we’ll break it down step-by-step to help you:
✨ Improve thoracic spine mobility
✨ Enhance side flexion and rotation
✨ Deepen your breathing
✨ Correct posture and shoulder balance
Watch as our model performs the Mermaid flow — learning to open the ribs like a fan, rotate the chest like wringing a towel, and extend the spine to its longest shape.
