The ObamaCare Shutdown Continues & the American Digital ID

As the government shutdown closes out a third week (not that anyone noticed or cared) I think it’s time we start talking about it for what it is - an Obamacare shutdown. The major fight is really over subsidies to support the failed Obamacare legislation and the reality that if the subsidies don’t continue Obamacare will fail. The problem now is the same as it was when Trump tried to repeal Obamacare in his first term - what do we replace it with. There are options but it would require political will to get it done and the GOP still doesn’t seem to have any of that. Meanwhile we are still sprinting forward with digital IDs in the USA. We need to understand that they already exist and really need to decide what we are going to do about it. The one thing I think we ought not to be doing is continuing to push forward with them but that is exactly what is happening.
