Playthrough with Sypha. Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is a classic action-platformer developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989. The game is a prequel to the original Castlevania and is widely praised for improving upon the series' formula with multiple playable characters and non-linear, branching pathways. Set in the year 1476, the game's story begins as Count Dracula ravages Europe with an army of monsters. The once-feared Belmont family of vampire hunters is called upon by the Church to defeat Dracula. Players take on the role of Trevor Belmont, an ancestor of Simon Belmont, as he sets out to end Dracula's reign of terror.
