GADDAFI: YOU CALL IT AID? WE CALL IT STOLEN WEALTH.

On this day in 2011, Muammar Gaddafi was brutally killed following NATO’s invasion of Libya, a war that shattered Africa’s most prosperous nation and turned it into a centre of chaos, slavery, and foreign control.

Gaddafi demanded that Africa’s wealth serve Africans. Long before his assassination, he exposed the hypocrisy of Western “aid.”

At a UN hunger summit in Rome in 2009, he told delegates that what the West calls aid is only a fraction of what it stole from Africa and the Global South through centuries of colonial plunder and exploitation.

His words still echo today: “Return it, and be thankful you’re not being prosecuted for it.”
