THE PAT WHITE SHOW asks the question: Can the city afford a new Multi-million $$$ fieldhouse?

Every year the city of Fort Wayne has to review its upcoming budget for the upcoming fiscal year, and because of newly enacted state legislation SB1, the city has less dollars to utilize according to City Councilman Jehl. He is questioning the mayor efforts to erect a new multi-million-dollar fieldhouse on the former Omni-Source 25-acres north of the St. Mary's River. Therefore, should the city give consideration to the previous offer from businessmen Chuck Surak, Eric and Daryle Doden who were offering nearly $12 million for the property? Hopefully, the city council and the mayor will eventually work out a solution that pleases taxpayers.
