The CIA’s notorious MK-Ultra program turned out to have started way before the 1950s, with its first experiments being carried out in Canada as early as 1945, one of the victim’s relative claims as reported by the CityNews Montreal.

🔴 Around 1945, Marilyn Levinson’s aunt was admitted to Montreal's Allan Memorial Institute for depression. She was placed under the care of Dr. Donald Ewen Cameron, whose work was then considered to be world-class.

🔴 However, what she actually got were 9 electroshock treatment sessions and 28 sleep-induced comas in just one month.

🔴 This "therapy" caused severe brain damage. Levinson shares that her aunt was mentally reduced to a childlike state and later became paralyzed. The family’s attempts to seek answers were thwarted when they were told her medical records were “impossible to find”.

🔴 In the 1950s and 1960s, the CIA took a serious interest in the works of Dr. Cameron and started officially funding his "research" known as MK-Ultra subproject 68.

🔴 Under this program, Cameron carried out experiments on patients using high doses of LSD, paralytic drugs, sensory deprivation, and "psychic driving"—a technique where patients were put into drug-induced comas and were forced to listen to tape loops of repetitive noises and phrases for weeks.

🔴 While officially claiming the aim was to treat schizophrenia, Cameron’s true goals were to "design a scientifically based system for extracting information from 'resistant sources,’" Canadian analyst Naomi Klein revealed in her book The Shock Doctrine.
