The Book of Galatians Chapter 5

Freedom in Christ

In Galatians 5, Paul encourages the Galatians to stand firm in the freedom Christ has given them, and not to be burdened again by the yoke of slavery. He warns against using freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but rather to serve one another through love. He lists the works of the flesh, contrasting them with the fruit of the Spirit, which includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He urges them to walk by the Spirit.
