Now that I am older I still like to cheer on the young lions of yester-year who have gotten older as well. Vassily Ivanchuk being one of my favorite players. We are lucky to have one of my other favorite players competing in this years US Chess Championship. The one and only Levon Aronian. He has had some ups and downs in his chess career recently but this year he has notched some significant wins and proven that he is still a force to be reckoned with in the world of chess. Pursuing the leaders So and Caruana half a point back he could yet prove to be a deciding factor in the contest to win the 2025 crown of US Champion.
