How Do I Know When I'm Forgiven by God?

“Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more” (D&C 58:42). No more. That's the forgiveness that really counts, and the Lord forgets it as well as forgives it. You have the way of forgiveness and peace: confession, honesty with your neighbor, honesty with God—and He will forget it, and so will you. And you will know that you've been forgiven of your sins.
