The REAL Root of America’s 10th Amendment (SNSY)

Why is today’s political doctrine of “federal supremacy” completely at odds with the ideas of the Founding Fathers when they were forming both US Constitutions? What was the real philosophy which lay at the root of the meaning of the 10th Amendment and it’s statement that any power not given to the federal government or expressly prohibited from the states was thereby reserved to the states and the people?
