Why Does God Speak in Parables?

Do you ever wonder why God chooses to speak in parables, a figurative language? Do you get frustrated that you don't inherently know and immediately understand your symbolic dreams and desire for Him to just tell you plainly what they mean? You don't yet have the understanding, so you are tired of playing the riddle game. We want to be able to see immediately and understand what God is saying, because we feel like we should just inherently know. And a lot of times you're not going to inherently know. It doesn't mean you don't hear at that moment. It means that there may be a process God wants to take you on, where you draw closer in your relationship with Him to spend time, leaning in to hear what He is saying. Dreams are a cryptic encoded language, the figurative language of God, that takes time to hear words of knowledge of what God is saying and use discernment to unlock the meaning. Jesus explains why He does this in Matthew 13.
