Land acknowledgements and property rights

An incredibly interesting case coming out of Richmond, British Columbia in favor of the Cowichan Nations. Over the last decade we have seen many organizations perform land acknowledgements, and recently we have seen local governments join in. Even the King of England acknowledged Canada is unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. Very soon, we will get an example of what this actually means from a legal standpoint.
