AOTR URGENT ALERT: Search Underway for Missing Elderly Oakridge Man

Lane County authorities are conducting an intensive search for a missing Oakridge man, 76-year-old Jean Fritz Pierre Louis, who vanished after going mushroom picking.

The search began after Mr. Louis's car was found on a spur road off National Forest 2409 Road. The Lane County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), assisted by Linn County Search & Rescue, has deployed ground teams, K9 units, drones, and mounted SAR on horseback in the rugged area.

Mr. Louis is described as a Black male, 5’7” tall, weighing 145 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes.
