Can I Save These Trees Before They Rot Away Forever?
Today I’m harvesting Black Cherry trees deep in the Appalachian heat — and racing against time. These trees are starting to show signs of red rot, and I’m trying to save as much usable lumber as possible before it’s too late. Some of these trees are already too far gone — one of them was completely rotted from the inside out.

I’m using my Kubota RTV900 to haul gear and logs, and putting the HolzFormma G660 with a 24" bar to the test — with a Stihl 440 Magnum on backup duty. This timber is destined for custom rabbit hutches, livestock shelters, and milling orders.
