Katherine Clark admits the Democrats are keeping the government shutdown

Katherine Clark: “I mean, shutdowns are terrible, and of course there will be families that are going to suffer. We take that responsibility very seriously, but it’s one of the few moments of leverage we have.”

The government has been shut down for 23 days at this point, and Democrats remain focused on using this shutdown as a means of pressure to advance their partisan interests rather than to benefit the American people.
