Should the West Ban the Muslim Brotherhood?

While Muslim-majority countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have banned the Muslim Brotherhood for being considered a terrorist organization, the group continues to operate freely in the United States and Europe.

Several voices warn that its influence has spread into governmental, educational, and social institutions, promoting an ideology that distorts the values of moderate Islam and encourages extremism.

The question is once again gaining strength in public debate: how long will the West allow the expansion of an organization accused of spreading radicalism under the protection of religious and political freedom?
