Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan has stirred controversy online after joking that Donald Trump should run for California Governor after his term as president ends.

Rogan, while interviewing guests Francis Foster and Konstantin Kisin, joked that Trump could pull one of the funniest political moves in history.

The comedians were discussing Los Angeles and how the state of California was run by Governor Gavin Newsom.

“I was just talking to a buddy of mine who’s fleeing LA, and he was like, ‘I can’t any more. I tried. I just f*****g, I hung in there. I can’t do it anymore.’ He’s like, ‘Everybody went crazy’,” Rogan said.

“It’s like, there’s something that happened because of the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests and the riots.”

Rogan, who is an ex-Californian and staunch critic of how the state is now run, fled the state for Texas.
