Bereshit Study Part 2: The Struggle of the Spirit and Body

In the time when men began to call on the name of the lord, the spirit that was in exile within could rise above the strength of the body. Then we see a possible intermarriage between the line of Seth and Cain where one becomes the father of those to successfully put to death the animal nature and dwell in animal skins.

At this same time another crafts weapons thay may have finally put Cain, who was wandering between the land of the living and the dead for 7 generations, to rest. At this same time they may have also been able to lay Abel to rest - both who were tormenting them either with cries for vengeance or being an avenging wraith type of spirit. While Lamech feels like even though the slayer of Cain should have 7 fold vengeance, that since he was acting in self defense that he should have a much larger protection on himself.

These are just thoughts to hopefully get you thinking and asking God about to then build more on them. The main goal though is to see the war between the spirit and body and how we can have fruit that remains.
