The song isn’t just about a witch; it’s about the moment when power turns back on the one who wields it. The narrator starts out as an observer, caught in the energy of the night, but ends up possessed by the same curse she tried to escape. Every beat mirrors that descent — from the slow fog-drenched intro to the pounding heartbeat bass that takes over by the final chorus.

At its core, “Midnight Witch” is about surrendering to the darkness you think you control — and realizing, too late, that it’s controlling you.
