Psalm 131- The Quiet Heart

After centuries of progress - millennium after millennium - we’re still the same.
Chasing dreams, meeting harsh realities.
Some days begin with birds singing and families laughing,
and other days we face storms that shake us to the core.
The psalmist knew extremes most of us never will -
victory, exile, betrayal, and mercy.
Yet we all face our own Goliaths,
we hide from powers that seek to destroy us,
and we rejoice when we feel Yahuah’s presence near.
If we’re blessed, we may arrive at the same place this writer did —
content, small, and aware.
At peace with where Yahuah has placed us,
calm in His hands,
and thankful simply to belong.
Psalm 131 - The Quiet Heart
A reflection on humility, stillness, and quiet trust before Yahuah.
Each verse is paired with other scriptures showing both obedience and pride — peace and restlessness - letting the Word speak for itself.
