Here is the backstory...

The Ontario government ran a political ad campaign in the U.S. featuring Ronald Reagan speaking favorably about free trade. The ad is perceived as fraudulent and misleading, records indica that Reagan actually supported tariffs for national security. Believing that Canada’s ad buy was an attempt to sway the Supreme Court’s decision on the legality of his tariffs — Trump has terminated trade talks with Canada, ahead of the Court’s hearing scheduled for November 5, 2025.
