A political earthquake just hit the U.S.–Canada border. The Government of Ontario has been caught funding a $75 million propaganda campaign inside the United States, using manipulated footage of President Ronald Reagan to undermine Donald Trump’s America First trade policies. The video stitched together Reagan’s 1987 radio address to make it appear he opposed Trump’s tariffs, in what officials are calling a direct act of foreign interference.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation immediately confirmed the clip was falsified and used without permission. “The ad misrepresents President Reagan’s remarks,” their statement read. “We encourage all Americans to view the unedited version.” The ad aired across U.S. media networks, targeting conservative regions ahead of Supreme Court rulings on tariff authority, a calculated attempt to erode Trump’s support base and influence domestic judicial outcomes.

President Trump responded with immediate action on Truth Social: “Canada has fraudulently used a FAKE Reagan advertisement to interfere with U.S. policy and judicial decisions. Effective immediately - ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE TERMINATED.” Within hours, the White House confirmed the termination order had been issued. What began as a “foreign ad campaign” has now escalated into a full-blown diplomatic shutdown.

The motive is transparent. Trump’s tariff framework has restored American leverage and disrupted decades of elite-controlled global trade. Canada’s fake Reagan ad was not political commentary, it was economic sabotage, an information warfare strike designed to weaken Trump before his tariff authority becomes legally secured. It backfired spectacularly.

Foreign governments don’t spend $75 million on American airtime for “opinions.” They do it to manipulate courts, elections, and the public narrative, all violations of U.S. sovereignty. The Deep State just gained an ally north of the border, and Trump just exposed them both.
