Baldwin was a prominent supposedly, anti-communist communist, progressive era civil rights "internationalist" co-founder of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) & the International League for Human Rights. In his 1928 'Liberty Under the Soviets' Baldwin redefined Liberty along Soviet "liberty" lines under Stalin, before hailing it, some 25 years later, as 'The New Slavery'.
