Takeoff of the Let L-410 Turbolet at the unique and world-famous mountain airport of Lukla in eastern Nepal.

Lukla Airport has repeatedly been recognized as the "most dangerous airport in the world" due to the extremely challenging approaches, a short runway (only 527 meters) with a steep slope, the impossibility of going around, and weather conditions.

All landings and takeoffs are carried out exclusively under visual flight rules. To be allowed to land at Lukla, a pilot must have experience of at least one hundred landings on short runways and undergo additional training specifically for flights to this airport.

Beautiful airplanes ✈️
