Boeing 747 Dreamlifter takeoff

Here is another video of the Boeing 747 Dreamlifter, which we already had in our feed today.

In October 2022, the Dreamlifter lost a main landing gear wheel immediately after taking off from Taranto-Grottaglie Airport in Italy. 😱

The large 100-kilogram wheel detached a few seconds after liftoff. The footage shows a cloud of black smoke near the landing gear area, the wheel detaching, falling onto the runway, and then ending up in a nearby vineyard. 😆

Despite losing the part, the plane safely completed its intercontinental flight and landed in the USA without any negative consequences for the crew or the aircraft structure.
