Arch of Constantine, Rome

Arch of Constantine, built around 300 CE to commemorate Emperor Constantine’s military successes over rivals and his consolidation of the full Roman Empire. The war insignia and regal implements of his victims were found underground in a nearby ceremonial burial site. The Coliseum, the Arch of Titus and many other historic monuments are close by.
