How Jesus Lived - Moved with Compassion

Yesterday, we saw a man fall to his knees before Jesus and say,
“If You are willing, You can make me clean.” — Mark 1:40
Today, we see the heart of heaven respond:
📖 Mark 1:41 —
“Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. ‘I am willing,’ He told him. ‘Be made clean.’”
The Greek word used here is σπλαγχνίζομαι (splagchnizomai) — pronounced splangkh-NEE-zoh-my.
It describes a deep, gut-level mercy — compassion so strong it moves you to act.
Jesus didn’t turn away from the man’s pain.
He reached out His hand and touched what others refused to touch.
He didn’t become unclean — the man became whole.
💭 Reflection:
Who in your life might need a touch of compassion today?

What would it look like for you to love the “untouchable” — the one others avoid or overlook?

Do you believe that Jesus is still both able and willing to make you whole?

📖 Colossians 3:12 —
“Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
When we see with His eyes, feel with His heart, and reach with His hands — that’s when His ministry continues through us. 💛
Next, we’ll see what happens the moment Jesus speaks those words — “Be made clean.”
