Get ready, y’all — it’s showtime! In this reaction, I’m diving headfirst into Tim Burton’s wild and weird classic, Beetlejuice (1988) — a movie that’s equal parts spooky, hilarious, and delightfully twisted.

When the recently deceased couple Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara Maitland (Geena Davis) find themselves trapped as ghosts in their own home, things get seriously strange. Their peaceful afterlife is turned upside down when the obnoxious Deetz family — including eccentric artist Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara), her uptight husband Charles Deetz (Jeffrey Jones), and their goth daughter Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) — move in.

Desperate to scare the new residents away, Adam and Barbara summon the chaotic and crude “bio-exorcist” Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) — and chaos doesn’t even begin to cover it! From twisted transformations to the unforgettable “Day-O” dinner scene, this movie is a Tim Burton fever dream you just have to see to believe.

Join me as I experience Beetlejuice for the very first time — laughing, cringing, and probably saying “what the heck?!” a lot along the way. 👻💀
