14
From "Tales of the American Empire", Carlton Meyer examines the anti-competition nature of the Empire, a duly inherited trait from its parent, the British Empire. By the end of World War 2, the Americans had succeeded in establishing themselves in a dominant role within Germany, a role which they would not relinquish, even today.
