CS #24 SECTION 8 Is no longer a charity for the people who abused the system.

Many people have taken advantage of this program and no that it’s being cut to many they feel the government is wrong..

Section 8 evictions follow the same legal court process as other tenancies but require specific procedures, such as sending a copy of all legal notices to the Public Housing Authority (PHA). Landlords need "good cause" to evict, which includes serious lease violations like non-payment, fraud, or property damage, and the PHA can terminate the voucher if a tenant is evicted. Tenants have rights, including the right to safe housing and protection from discrimination based on their voucher status, and the federal government has programs to help low-income tenants facing eviction.

Landlord responsibilities
Follow the law: Landlords must have "good cause" for eviction, which includes serious or repeated lease violations, non-payment of rent, or fraud.

Provide proper notice: The landlord must issue a formal notice to the tenant, stating the reason for eviction and the date by which the tenant must comply or move out.
Notify the PHA: A copy of all legal documents, including the notice and any court filings, must be sent to the PHA.
Follow the court process: Eviction must go through the courts. The landlord cannot simply remove the tenant.

Tenant rights
Right to legal process: Section 8 tenants have the right to due process in eviction cases, just like any other tenant.
Right to safe housing: Tenants must live in a unit that meets the Housing Quality Standards (HQS) set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
