1 Corinthians 3:11 New King James Version
11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY AWESOME FRIENDS!!! How was everyone's Tuesday? Mine was rather relaxing, especially since I didn't go anywhere. Ricky and I just wanted one day where we could recoup, relax, and just restore ourselves physically, and that's what we're doing. He went to get yesterday's meal, and to our precious and wonderful surprise, his new Social Security card came in! That means ASAP we're going to go to the Bucks County Housing Authority and give them that information and they will hopefully use that to process and make their decision on whether or not we get rental assistance. Please pray that we do, because we badly need it. I'm also asking for prayer, concerning this government shutdown, because it's affecting Ricky and me. You see guys, Ricky and I are on Social Security, very fixed income, and we are also on SNAP. We don't get much, but what we get we are very grateful for, and in light of this government shutdown, SNAP is not gonna be coming in in November, and I'm asking for prayer on this.

I firmly believe that this morning scripture, this parable that Jesus taught about the two houses, and the foundations that they were built on, is really coming into play today, and to say that I really needed it would be an understatement. I'm sure many of you can relate on what I'm going to say, and that I battle every day with making sure that my foundation, my spiritual house is “storm ready”, because all the craziness going on out there is enough to drive me up a wall! Seeing what is going on in our world today, especially with the government shutdown, and the real, literal attacks on Christians, I will admit it gets me very concerned, and I'm constantly having to go to the Lord on these things. But one thing I know for certain, is that I want to make sure that I keep my foundation firmly secure in Jesus Christ, and that's something I challenge all of you on today.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me out of this passage of scripture, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you will challenge your heart to want to make sure that your foundation, is found only in Jesus Christ. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends and see just exactly what I mean! 😊

So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that they challenge you to make your foundation firm in Christ.

How “storm-ready” is your life?

How have Christ’s teachings helped you to remain stable during difficulties?

I want to challenge you tonight, to not only think about these questions, but ask yourself, just who is your foundation built on? Is it built on Jesus Christ, or on things? Is it built on money, power, prestige, or any form of vanity that is apart from Christ? I\My prayer for all of you is that you cling to and keep yourself secure in the firm foundation that is only Jesus and continue to do so every day. Arthur Jackson was very correct, when he stated, “Yes, storms happen in this life. Sickness and countless other dilemmas can leave us spinning. Life isn’t “stormproof,” but building our lives on Jesus and His teaching—our sure “foundation” (see 1 Corinthians 3:11)—makes the difference.” My prayer is that you will build your life, on the firm foundation that is found in Jesus Christ, but reading God's word, studying it, and living it out daily. Someone once said that foundations matter, and I believe that to be true. I strive every day, to live out my faith, and make sure that I am grounded firmly in Christ Jesus, and I pray that you are doing the same too.

UNTIL WEDNESDAY:

HAVE A VERY TRANQUIL EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
