This Is the Army, 1943

Yip Yip Yaphank, an all-soldier Broadway production, is staged by dancer Jerry Jones during World War I. He becomes a producer after suffering injuries during the war. This is the Army, a brand-new all-soldier production, is ordered to be staged during World War II by his son Johnny Jones, who was formerly his father's assistant. However, he faces issues in his personal life because he won't wed his fiancée until the war is ended.
