America First - a historical WW1 reference to the US not spending money and lives defending the British empire or becoming entangled in European politics. More recently some political groups have equated the term with American global hegemony. Which is the exact opposite of its original meaning/intent.
Maga - (Make America Great Again) essentially rule by the popular public opinion, i.e. popularism or democratic majority. This contrasts with some versions of "parliamentary democracy" e.g. Europe where politicians are elected (this maybe arguably false) and make decisions which can be independent of popular majority opinion (for the benefit of the public e.g. when increasing tax to pay for pubic health care, the public will not want increased tax, but at the same time still want public health care). This method requires less explanation to the public, and presumably speeds implementation of needed changes in policy. But taken too far, and it becomes autocratic unrepresentative governance by an unaccountable political group. Interestingly US govt departments often have a similar justification, we know better than the public so it is justified to put our hand on one side of the measuring scale of justice.
