Nissan 350Z Rear Wheel Bearing replacement

I had a droning noise when driving my 2005 350Z that was getting worse (louder) over the last month. Although I was worried that the noise might be from the rear differential, it was instead just from a rear wheel bearing.

I checked the driveshaft input and axle flange outputs of the differential for play and did not find any. I started by replacing the left-rear wheel bearing assembly and that took care of the noise. I will replace the right-rear wheel bearing assembly, next.

The noise got progressively worse. I did not notice a difference in the level of noise whether the clutch was engaged in gear or not, whether the vehicle was under acceleration or engine braking or not, and there was also no change when loading one side of the car or the other through turns.
