Pre-Infusion Espresso Machine Group Heads Demo - Astra 2-Group Mega IIc

This is a demo of how the pre-infusion group heads on an Astra Manufacturing espresso machine work.
The pre-infusion is a quick shot of water onto the espresso grounds inside the portafilter to wet the surface of the grounds before the full extraction.

I’m wearing nitrile gloves as the water is very hot, gloves are recommended.

This machine is an Astra model Mega IIc (2c) c is for compact. It is 2000 watts
The Mega II is larger, 220 volt, has 3 steam wands and a water spout.
