Heavy rain will impact the Pacific Northwest from Friday into Saturday as an atmospheric river brings moisture to the region, though flooding risks remain low.
An intense cyclone in New England will bring widespread rain Friday, with only minor urban flooding possible due to leaf-clogged drains.
Most of the Lower 48 will experience dry and pleasant weather for trick-or-treating, except in parts of the Pacific Northwest, Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and northern and central Appalachians.
Temperatures will stay below average from the Plains eastward, with chilly air and possible lake-effect precipitation.
Meanwhile, warmer and drier conditions will prevail from the Rockies to the West Coast, with some record highs possible along Colorado’s Front Range early next week.
